Windermere Capital Group Lends A Helping Hand!
We strive to know everything about our neighborhood and community-such as which nonprofit group would benefit from being the recipient of our efforts on our annual Community Service Day. Since our Windermere Real Estate /Capital Group’s inception, we’ve taken off one day each year to complete projects in the neighborhoods we serve. We do this because we understand that we all benefit when we play a part to improve our neighborhoods.

Windermere Blue….just got a touch of GREEN!
We are well-recognized by our blue logo, but Windermere Capital Group keeps getting greener.
Our home for the last five years, the LEED Gold Certified Front 5 Building in downtown Boise, provides our agents with a sustainable and healthy, productive place to work. But the green doesn’t stop there! Not only are we breathing green at work, but we are learning green. Our agents are required to obtain The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Green designation.
NAR’s Green Designation is intended for real estate professionals “looking to green their businesses and their lives.” Going green helps improve our environment, health, and our savings. In fact, 90% of green decisions are made due to economic reasons. Our NAR Green designees can help you distinguish fact from fiction and provide you with recent information on green living, energy efficient technologies, green materials, and more!

NAR’s Green Designation and Residential Elective Course
Congratulations to all the Windermere Capital Group agents who recently completed the NAR’s Green Designation Core Course and Residential Elective. The Green Designation Core Course provides agents a broad understanding of green real estate principles; such as smart growth, sustainability, and evaluation standards. The Residential Elective Course goes into more detail and provides a better knowledge of green building principles applied to residences.

2009 Windermere Capital Group’s Community Service Day Projects
For this year’s Community Service Day, Windermere Capital Group associates will be volunteering for two different projects.
One of the projects will be to work on the grounds, paint, and move furniture for the local Marian Pritchett High School. The Marian Pritchett School has been helping the needs of pregnant teens since 1959. For more information about this school, please visit their website at http://www.boiseschools.org/schools/booth/.
The second project will be at the Boise Bicycle Project, a non-profit community-oriented effort to promote the personal, social, and environmental benefits of bicycling. Since it’s inception in late 2007, the BBP volunteers have distributed over 400 bicycles to children, low-income families, and incoming refugees. Our commitment to service extends beyond each real estate transaction. Every year since 1984, Windermere associates have skipped work for a day to complete neighborhood improvement projects.
Not only is Community Service Day a great opportunity to give back to the communities where we live and work, it also gives us a chance to work together.
After all, real estate is rooted in our communities. And an investment in our neighborhoods gives us all a better place to call home.
